First Pics

These are the first pictures taken with my new Nikon
D80. Woohoo!! This thing is intimidating, so many bells and whistles,
doesn't help that I haven't yet been able to figure out how to switch the menu to English from Japanese.

And yes, as pointed out in the comments, this is Blue Plains, the sewage treatment plant for DC. What can I say, it's the view from my office where my new camera was shipped.

Now those are weird. They're really clear, sharp, but... Is that Blue Plains? My son's first pix with his new camera are of the sewage treatment plant?!!

What does that blurb above the box mean? Guess I need to know HTML.

yes that is Blue Plains. i like the industrialness. i'll be taking better pictures soon, once i figure out how to switch the camera over to english.

what box are you talking about? oh, wait, you mean this comment box. "<"b">" is the bold tag, "<"i">" is italics, "<"a">" is the anchor tag but i've only ever used it in combo with the href parameter to make hyperlinks. To use these tags you need on opening tag, like the ones above, at the beginning of the text you want to format and an ending tag, like the ones above except with a / in front of the tag letter. I've said it before, HTML is basically just word processing, think Wordperfect from the Apple IIe days.
