Finally, in typical internet driving directions they are completely idiotic. Instead of going directly to Dublin they send you to France, through the Chunnel, across England and onto a ferry.

Why do I have to go to Boston to start swimming? Isn't Maine a little closer?
my guess is that this route avoids certain currents and weather patterns that would make the swim more difficult, but i'm not a geographer, so perhaps i'm just full of it.
